About the Zoku Slush Maker:
I love a good slushie or milkshake, but I have a small kitchen, and I get tired of bulky appliances taking up my counter space and wasting money. The Zoku Slush and Shake Maker is a very simple and inexpensive product that allows you to quickly and cleanly make slush drinks, shakes, and more, without any noisy specialized appliances or breaking the bank.
The Zoku Slush Maker works like this; there is an “inner core” that you leave in the freezer for 6-8 hours (recommended) and then place in the outer cup / sleeve. You then pour whatever liquid you want to turn into a slush or shake into the inner core, and for about 5 minutes (depending on the liquid) scrape the sides of the frozen core as the liquid solidifies against the edges!
The simplicity of the Zoku Slushee Maker also makes it a breeze to clean! Simply wash the inner core with warm water, just like you would any other cup, and you are good to go! When you are done, the Zoku sleeve can be easily stored with all your other cups, as it is a normal 8 oz container.

Why can’t I just stick any cup in the freezer instead of Zoku?
You might be wondering why you can’t just stick any old cup in the freezer for 8 hours and then use it to make a slushee. The reason why the Zoku works is because of the special liquid inside the inner core. The Zoku core contains a special refrigerant liquid that gets to a lower temperature than ice or a regular cup. Even if you were to freeze a metal or ceramic cup, it still would not get as cold (and stay as cold) as the Zoku inner core does, so your liquid would not freeze well (if at all).
